Hah! If you thought you were getting dental care tips I’m here to disappoint you.
Painters and shoes shiners may beg to differ, but the toothbrush is probably the most important brush in your life considering the role teeth play. No argument here. There is, however, a runner-up in importance for the millions of us who live where the snow flies.
Here at the western end of Clinton’s Ditch in New York State, the snow brush is VERY important to your health and your life … IF YOU USE IT!
I don’t have room or time to recount the number of times I have seen drivers fail to clear their vehicles so let’s just say enough to inspire a cartoon.

Frank, if I’m not mistaken, NYS passed a law last year that it is illegal to drive without your windows and roof cleared of snow. Of course, it’s only a law “on the books” so that means it would have to be enforced, and you know how that goes.
As a teen, I ruined my dad’s new wiper blades by thinking I could avoid brushing. Not a good outcome. Ever since then, I’ve been a good brusher, defroster, scraper and flosser. ‘Course this was before seatbelts were required (choke, sputter, cough).
